Mandated by Diffusion En Scène, we created the visual identity for the brand-new Théâtre Gilles-Vigneault, which officially opened its doors on November 25, 2017. Located in Saint-Jérôme, the new multidisciplinary performance space is becoming a major player in the Laurentians’ cultural scene.
It was important for the brand identity to reflect the modern feel of the new building, all the while paying tribute to its namesake, Gilles Vigneault. The mandate also included adapting the identity for Diffusion En Scène and its foundation, as both are so closely intertwined with the work of the theatre.
Symbolizing the audience and the community, as well as the stage and the entertainment it promises, the family of logos consists of three simple emblems that are formed by the same elements.
The custom-designed wordmark and vivid colours lend a resolutely modern touch to the theatre’s logo.
